History	This station originated in the early 1940's as WAAW, assigned to a frequency of 49.5MHz. It probably did not broadcast on the old FM band, but it was operating in 1946 at 95.7. The station became WAAT-FM in 1947, moving to 94.7. The call letters were changed to WNTA-FM in 1958 and to WJRZ-FM in 1962. Call letters WFME and religious format adopted in 1965.
