History	From its inception to 2007 the FM station of ABC, the station went on the air in 1948 as WJZ-FM, changing to WABC-FM in 1953. Progressive rock WABC-FM became WPLJ on February 14, 1971 (Album Rock format), changing to WWPR on 12/17/87 and back to WPLJ on December, 1988. Top 40 or Hot AC format since June 30, 1983.
