| History | The predecessor to this station, WAAT, was first licensed to radio pioneer Frank V. Bremer in 1926, although Bremer had been broadcasting since 1920 or earlier. The Jersey City-based station moved to its present frequency in 1941 and was sold in 1958, when the call letters WNTA were adopted. The station was again sold in 1962, becoming WJRZ, which became a country music station on September 15, 1965. A rock format was adopted in 1970, surviving a 1971 sale and May 17, 1971 call change to WWDJ. Rock WWDJ lasted until 1974, when a religious format was introduced. WWDJ was sold to Salem Media in 1994. The religious format continued until August 3, 2008; a conservative talk format was introduced on August 6, 2008. |
| Comments | The call sign for this station was changed from WWDJ to WTTT on July 25, 2008, and was changed again from WTTT to WNYM on August 6, 2008. The call letters WNYM were originally used in this market by Salem Media for 1330 AM between 1981 and 1989. |
