History	WPAT has been on the air with the same call letters and frequency since May, 1941; it was initially based in Paterson, NJ.  The station developed an easy listening format during the 50`s which was featured until the station was sold to Heftel Broadcasting (now Hispanic Broadcasting)in March, 1996, when a Spanish music format was introduced.  WPAT was purchased by its current owner, Multicultural Broadcasting, on 5/24/98; as part of the deal, WNWK-FM 105.9 (now WCAA) was sold by Multicultural to Heftel.
